DIVAS is an acronym for Divine Intelligent Virtuous Anointed Sistas. This is DURAG Ministries’ women’s ministry co-led by Danae Colson, Tempest Jones, and Cherelle Walden. The purpose of this group is to empower women to enjoy being a bride of Christ by teaching the value and function of being a woman of God, and promoting unity and sisterhood.

Titus 2:4-5 “ Instead, they should teach others what is good. These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.”

Ministry Opportunities
P31: This is a women’s small group that meets on the campus of James Madison University. The purpose of this bible study is to equip female college students with knowledge of Christ and Christian living. It is a smaller setting outside of the large group DURAG Service. The purpose is to offer women and opportunity to bond and explore the Thursday night teachings through a focus that minister to directly to women.

DESTINY: This is a women’s small group that caters to young women beyond the JMU college environment. This group teaches basic principals of Christianity in order to equip each female to then teach other women via retreats or other ministerial events. This group also provides a networking link with women in the community and mentorship opportunities.
